Client Guide and FAQs
Client Guide and FAQs
This page gives you clear answers before you book, so you know exactly how sessions work in practice. You will find guidance on treatment choices, in-home setup, travel coverage, draping and privacy, safety, booking policies, and what to expect before and after your session.
For individual treatment-specific questions, please visit the treatment’s own dedicated page, where you will find a full FAQ section for that modality.
Booking and Choosing the Right Treatment
Booking and Choosing the Right Treatment
You do not need to know the perfect modality before contacting me. Just share your main goals, symptoms, and current stress or training load. I will guide you to the most suitable option and duration.
Rates are time-based, which keeps pricing clear and fair. Your session is then tailored to your needs on the day using the most suitable treatment approach.
For most people, 90 to 120 minutes gives the best results. If your case is more complex or long-standing, 120 minutes is usually the stronger starting point.
Yes. Many clients do this. For example, you might start with Hybrid Massage or NPM, then continue with TKMT or Signature Massage depending on how your body responds.
Yes. You can book one-off sessions, or choose a structured treatment series if you want more consistent progress. I offer multi-session packages that include a small saving and help you stay on track.
If you’re not sure what to choose, book a single session first. After that, I can recommend a simple series plan based on your goals and how your body responds.
No. You can book single sessions. If you want deeper progress, a short series is often more effective than one-off treatment.
It depends on your goals. For active or persistent issues, sessions may start closer together like one week apart, then move to maintenance. For general wellbeing, many clients come every few weeks or monthly.
You can pay by bank transfer, cash, card, or Monzo. Bank transfer is quick and simple on the day, I can show you a QR code to scan so you can pay in seconds.
Bank transfer or cash are my preferred options. If you’re paying cash, please have the exact amount ready as I do not always carry change.
Before Your Solo Session
Individual home sessions
I come to your home with professional equipment and set up a calm treatment space. You receive one-to-one treatment without needing to travel or rush afterwards.
You only need to prepare a suitable space and a few basic items for comfort. I will guide you in advance, and setup is always simple.
For most clients, this means having towels or sheets, a blanket, and a pillow ready. I bring the professional equipment and handle the treatment setup.
If possible, take a quick shower beforehand. It’s not required, but many clients find they relax more easily when they feel fresh and comfortable.
Please have these ready:
• One base layer for the table (sheet or large towel)
• Extra towels (ideally larger bath or beach size)
• A blanket (to cover you)
• Few pillows for head
For oil-based treatments, I usually add disposable protective layers where needed.
For low-oil or oil-free treatments such as NPM, MLD, or Nordic Head and Face Massage, disposable layers are often not necessary.
A practical tip from regular clients is to keep a dedicated treatment set at home, used only for sessions.
Please allow enough space for one massage table plus room around it so I can work safely.
The easiest way to picture it is this: around the footprint of a double bed, with a little extra space at both ends.
The room does not need to be perfect. I regularly work in living rooms, spare rooms, and bedrooms.
No. You do not need to do a deep tidy. A clear treatment area is enough. I am there to treat you, not judge your home.
Yes. I always bring a professional treatment table unless we agree in advance to use one you already have at home.
If you already have a suitable massage table at home, that is a major advantage. Clients who can provide one are around twice as likely to secure a same-day, last-minute booking, because I need less prep time and can travel much faster without full table equipment.
It also improves access to later evening slots, weekends, and bank holidays. I usually avoid peak-hour travel with full table equipment, since those journeys can take significantly longer and are harder to manage. When I only need a backpack, I can offer time windows that are often not practical otherwise, especially after-work and late-evening sessions.
If you want regular treatments at specific times, owning a table is one of the smartest upgrades you can make. Many regular clients choose this for exactly that reason. It keeps booking simpler, expands your scheduling options, and your setup is always ready at home. If helpful, I can recommend reliable options. A brand-new table usually costs around £80 to £150.
Yes, please. I need access to a toilet or bathroom to wash hands before and after sessions. That is an essential hygiene requirement for every booking.
No. You do not need to provide anything for me personally. I bring my own food, snacks, and drinks, so you can focus only on your own session and comfort.
Choose the quietest room you can and keep interruptions to a minimum. The calmer the space, the better your treatment outcome.
Before your session, please make sure the room temperature is comfortable. Warm and cosy in colder months, and cool enough in summer. Then keep things simple: silence phones and alerts, avoid noisy chores, ask others in the home to keep noise low, and if possible plan ahead for pets, babies, or deliveries.
A quiet, comfortable setup helps you switch off fully and get the most from your session.
I always clean up after myself and leave things organised.
Used towels/linens are stacked neatly so you can put them away easily. There is no complicated post-session setup for you to manage.
Couples & Duo Sessions
Private Duo sessions
A Private Duo includes two back-to-back sessions at the same address on the same day. Each person receives a fully tailored treatment based on their own goals, symptoms, and current body load.
No. One suitable treatment room is enough. While one person is on the table, the other can rest, work quietly, or step out. The treatment space should stay calm and private.
Just the basics, and one calm space. For most couples, this means having towels or sheets, a blanket, and a pillow ready. If you’re happy sharing linens between you, that’s completely fine. Many regular couples do. If you’d rather keep it separate, have two sets ready.
If possible, both of you should shower beforehand. It’s not required, but it helps you settle in faster, especially if you’re coming from work, training, or a busy day.
No. Duo sessions run one after the other.
Yes, you can mix treatments and durations within the same booking. That said, most Duo bookings are two full 120-minute sessions, so you should allow a little over 4.5 hours in total once you include setup, a short reset break between sessions, and pack-down.
Private Duo pricing applies when both people book 120 minutes (2 × 120, same address, same day). If you choose shorter sessions for either person, standard individual rates apply, the same as booking separately.
Allow both session lengths plus a short reset break between them. As a simple guide, plan for both treatments and around 15 minutes in between so the day stays smooth.
Sometimes, yes. If you can, arrange it so neither of you has to rush straight into work, errands, training, or school runs afterwards. The best results usually come when you can keep the rest of the day calm. If you tell me your schedules, I can suggest the smoothest order.
If you have two people booked, it’s ideal for each person to have their own set ready. A simple setup is one base layer for the table (sheet or large towel), extra towels, a blanket, and a couple of pillows.
That said, if you’re a couple and you’re happy sharing, many regulars simply use the same towels and blanket for both sessions and swap only what feels necessary.
If you want to shower, do it before your slot so timing stays on track. After oil-based treatments, many clients prefer to let the body settle first and shower later.
No. You do not need to provide anything for me personally. I bring my own food, snacks, and drinks, so you can focus only on your own session and comfort.

Message as early as possible. In many cases, we can swap order or adjust the break. If the delay is significant, the second session may need to be shortened to protect the full schedule.
Sometimes, yes. This happens quite often, a partner, family member, or a friend hears you’re having a session and decides they want one too. If I have enough time in the day and it won’t disrupt your booking, I can usually add another treatment. Just message me as soon as you know, and include who it’s for, the preferred duration, and any key focus areas, and I’ll confirm what’s possible.
Group Wellness Days
Group Wellness Days
A Group Wellness Day is a private booking at one address where at least 3 people receive treatments on the same day. It is ideal for couples, friends, families, or colleagues who want high-level treatment at home without everyone travelling across London.
Group rates apply when 3 or 4 people are booked at the same address on the same day.
Yes. You can mix session lengths across the day. Each person can book the duration that suits them.
All treatments can be booked under group rates, with durations available per treatment. If anyone is unsure what to choose, I can guide each person to the best option before the day.
Group rates are flat per person and apply to all treatments:
30 minutes: £75 per person
45 minutes: £95 per person
60 minutes: £110 per person
90 minutes: £145 per person
120 minutes: £180 per person
The maximum total treatment time is 9 hours in one day.
All sessions must be planned in one pre-agreed running order, back-to-back, with a 15-minute break between each treatment. The host confirms the final schedule in advance, including each person’s treatment length.
The break allows time for hygiene, room reset, quick notes, and smooth changeover so the day stays calm and on time for everyone.
The host coordinates the order and confirms it before the booking date. I can help you structure it so timings are realistic and stress-free.
No. Guests can arrive near their own slot. I still recommend everyone arrives a little early so the day runs smoothly.
Yes, I do bring a massage table. If you already have a suitable table at home, that is fantastic and I can use it.
Please have the following ready for each person:
• One base layer for the table, either a sheet or a large towel
• Extra towels, ideally larger bath or beach towels
• One blanket for comfort and cover
• A few pillows for head support and positioning
A useful tip from regular clients is to keep a dedicated treatment set at home that is only used for treatment days.
No. You do not need to provide anything for me, I bring my own food and drinks.
For your guests, it is a good idea to have water available throughout the day. Many hosts prepare a large jug of water with glasses so each person can rehydrate after their session.
Possibly, yes. Outside London or beyond standard coverage areas is quoted case by case. Message me with postcode and preferred date.
Yes. Group Wellness Days are popular for birthdays, pre-event prep, recovery days, wedding-week wellbeing, and private reset days at home.
That guest should message me before booking so I can confirm suitability and any required adaptations. Safety always comes first.
Yes. Group days are open to everyone regardless of their age or gender, and each person receives a professional one-to-one treatment based on their own needs.
Earlier is always better, especially for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Popular dates fill quickly.
Send me one WhatsApp message with:
1. postcode,
2. preferred date,
3. number of people,
4. preferred durations for each guest.
I will then confirm availability and next steps.
Office Treatments and Workplace Sessions
Office Wellness Days
Yes. I can visit offices across London and provide professional, therapist-led sessions on-site. It’s a practical way to support staff comfort, posture, stress load, and recovery without anyone needing to travel.
You choose a date, location, and an estimated number of people. I bring the setup and run the day to a pre-agreed schedule, with sessions booked back-to-back.
To keep it simple, Office Wellness Days have a minimum of 4 hours of treatments booked in one visit. You can split that time across your team in 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120-minute slots, depending on what suits your workplace best.
If you’d like regular contracted days (for example monthly or quarterly), I can offer preferential rates for that ongoing schedule.
Office Wellness Days are priced per person, based on session length. There is a minimum booking of 4 hours of treatments per visit, which keeps the day simple to organise and allows a smooth running schedule on-site.
Office rates (per person):
30 mins £60
45 mins £80
60 mins £100
90 mins £150
120 mins £180
If you are planning regular booked-in days, preferential rates may be available.
To enquire, send your office postcode, a couple of date options, and roughly how many people you’d like to include. I’ll suggest a simple running order and the best session lengths for your team.
Yes. Nordic Head and Face Massage is one of the best office formats for desk-based teams. It’s calming, low-fuss, and works brilliantly in shorter slots (30, 45, or 60 minutes), with everyone staying fully clothed. It targets the areas that take the biggest hit from laptop work and long meetings, including scalp tension, jaw and neck tightness, eye-strain patterns, and that “wired” end-of-day feeling.
Most workplace bookings use 30, 45, or 60 minutes per person. Many offices keep it simple by offering just one session length for everyone, and 60 minutes is the most popular choice because it gives enough time for real change, not just a quick top-up.
Longer sessions are possible too. You can book 90 or 120 minutes, but that naturally means fewer people can be seen in the day. For smaller teams or private offices, longer slots can work brilliantly. For larger workplaces, 45 or 60 minutes is usually the best balance of impact, scheduling flow, and getting enough people treated.
Bookings can be organised in whatever way suits your team. Either one organiser collects names and time slots, or I can share a simple booking link or schedule template for everyone to fill in. The main goal is a clear running order confirmed before the day.
Some workplaces keep it very old school, and it works perfectly. A printed sheet of time slots in the kitchen or break room, and people simply write their name next to the slot they want. You can go modern or classic. As long as the final schedule is clear, the day runs smoothly.
Yes. Each person can choose the treatment that suits them best, and I tailor it to their body and time slot.
In workplace settings, the most popular options are 60-minute Signature Massage for full-body results, and Nordic Head & Face Massage in 30, 45, or 60 minutes, especially for people who spend long hours at a computer and carry tension in the neck, jaw, and scalp.
A quiet meeting room works well. All I need is enough space for the massage table and for me to move around it safely, plus a door that can close so the session feels private and uninterrupted. It also helps to have a bathroom nearby so I can wash my hands between treatments.
I bring the full professional setup, including the treatment table. I can also bring everything else needed, such as towels, pillows, and protective coverings, so your team does not need to organise anything.
If your workplace can provide clean towels, a couple of pillows, and a blanket, that is great. It reduces what I need to carry and there is a small reduction in the rate when those items are provided.
Plan the total number of sessions plus short reset time between them. A simple way to schedule is to add a 10 to 15-minute buffer every few appointments to keep things running smoothly.
I work as a single practitioner, so sessions run one after the other.
You can do it either way: the company pays as a single invoice, or each person pays individually. If people pay individually, I’ll share clear instructions in advance so the day stays smooth.
Most London locations are straightforward. If the journey is longer or outside standard travel range, I confirm any extra travel cost in advance, so there are no surprises.
Possibly, yes. Outside London or beyond standard coverage areas is quoted case by case. Message me with postcode and preferred date.
Yes. Office treatment days work brilliantly for celebrations and “thank you” moments, without turning it into a big event to organise. Companies often book a day to mark a milestone, reward a busy period, welcome a new team member, celebrate birthdays, or simply to give something back after a demanding project.
You choose the vibe. It can be a calm reset day with longer sessions for a smaller team, or a practical schedule where more people get seen with 30 to 60-minute slots. I will help you shape the running order so it feels smooth, fair, and genuinely restorative for everyone.
Just send me a message with what you are hoping to organise. A rough headcount, your office address, and a couple of date options is plenty to start. If you already have an ideal session length in mind, tell me that too.
I will come back with a simple plan that fits your team, your space, and the time you have available, then we can lock it in from there.
Travel & Coverage
Travel & Coverage
I’m based in Harrow, London. I travel to clients’ homes across most London areas, and I also cover offices and workplaces. If you’re just outside London or a little further out, it’s often still possible. Send me your postcode and I’ll tell you what options are available.
I’m primarily a mobile therapist. Most of my clients book home visits because it’s the easiest way to get high-level treatment without travel, rushing, or losing extra time either side of the session. Mobile work is what I’m known for.
That said, I can sometimes offer a fixed-location option for clients who can’t host, or who simply prefer to travel. The most common option is appointment days at the Finnish Church in London (near Canada Water). I also occasionally run pop-up treatment days at other suitable London locations.
If you can’t book an in-home session, it’s worth first considering whether you could organise a session at a friend’s home, or even set up a small wellness day together. If that’s not possible, just message me and I’ll tell you the next available dates for Finnish Church days or other pop-ups.
Yes. My mobile rates are all-inclusive for most standard London journeys, so there’s no separate call-out fee.
Your session rate includes up to 120 minutes total round-trip travel from my base. If your journey takes longer, an additional time-based travel fee may apply. I always confirm this with you upfront when you get in touch, before anything is booked in.
Yes, by request. Visits outside London, and locations beyond typical TFL coverage, are quoted case by case based on travel time and practical logistics. Longer-distance UK bookings are possible if the schedule makes sense.
In London, mileage rarely reflects the real cost. Travel time is the fairest and clearest way to price journeys, because it covers delays, trains, and the reality of moving equipment around the city.
Sometimes, yes. Peak-hour travel with a table can take much longer, so some times are easier to offer than others. If you tell me your preferred day and time window, I’ll confirm what’s realistic.
Yes. I aim to arrive around 10 to 15 minutes before your booked start time so I can set up and we can begin promptly at the agreed time.
I rely on public transport, so very occasionally delays outside my control happen, such as train disruption, incidents on the line, or severe weather. If that happens, I will message you straight away with an updated ETA. If we start late, I automatically extend the end time so you still receive the full session you booked.
In rare cases of genuinely severe conditions, I may need to postpone for safety. If that ever applies, I’ll let you know as early as possible and we’ll rearrange.
Yes. It all just depends on the logistics. If your home is awkward to reach, I’ll confirm what’s realistic and give you a clear quote upfront, case by case, so there are no surprises.
If travel is a bit more complex, a Group Wellness Day can be the easiest way to make the visit worthwhile, especially compared with booking a single session in a harder-to-reach area.
As I don’t have a car, I rely on public transport for all in-home visits. I can arrange the full journey myself, but in some situations that may involve a taxi or Uber. Some regular clients choose to pick me up from the nearest station and drop me back afterwards, particularly if I’m bringing the table, as it keeps things simple and often reduces extra travel costs.
No. I don’t need parking, as I travel by public transport. If a taxi or Uber is needed for the final part of the journey, I’ll arrange it as required.
Yes, within reason. If you live in a high-rise, it needs to have a working lift. In houses and typical flats, an upstairs room is absolutely fine if that’s what works best for you. Downstairs is often simpler, but it’s not a must. The easier the access, the more energy I can put into your treatment.
If access is more challenging, for example multiple flights with no lift, narrow staircases, a long walk from the entrance, or a tricky entry system, please tell me in advance so I can plan the visit properly.
No, not normally. If access is unusually difficult (many stairs, long walk from street to flat, no lift), it can help if someone is available, but only if you’re comfortable. Just flag it when you enquire.
Often yes, as long as the room setup and building access are suitable. When you enquire, share the venue name and postcode, plus any access details (reception process, lift access, parking, check-in rules). Please note it’s your responsibility to confirm the venue allows in-room treatments by an external therapist before we book.
Yes, if there is a suitable private room and the venue permits external practitioners. Send me the address and any entry rules, and I’ll confirm what’s workable from my side. Please note it’s your responsibility to check the venue’s policy and ensure I’m allowed to work there on the day.
No. It’s one visit, one journey. Any extra travel fee (if needed) is based on the round-trip travel time for the day, not per person.
Sometimes, but it depends on travel logistics. If you want late slots regularly, a table at your home can make a big difference to what I can offer.
Yes, in a good way. If you have a suitable table at home, travel is much faster and simpler, which often improves access to last-minute appointments, later evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Occasionally, but it’s not the standard setup. Most people get the best experience (and simplest pricing) when sessions are at one address, especially for duo or group days.
Your postcode, preferred day, your preferred session length, and whether you’re in a flat (and if there’s a lift). If it’s a duo or group day, tell me how many people and the rough time window.
Travel & Coverage
Miscellaneous
It depends on the treatment. Some sessions are fully clothed (like NPM), some are low-oil or little-oil (like TKMT and Hybrid Massage), and some are fully oil-based (like Signature Massage, Raynor, and Lomilomi). In general, wear light, comfortable clothing that’s easy to change. If you’re female, a bra that can be unclasped at the back is ideal. Sports bras are usually not practical for most treatments, except Nordic Head and Face Massage and NPM.
I recommend it if you can. Especially after training, a long day, or commuting, a quick shower helps you relax and keeps the session more comfortable for you. For oil-based work, it also means we’re not just moving sweat and the day’s buildup around the skin.
Occasionally, people feel temporarily tired, tender, heavy, or “off” after a session. This can be part of a normal post-treatment response, sometimes called a healing crisis. It usually means your body is doing a lot of rebalancing and clean-up, which can take energy. It can also bring attention to quieter problem areas that were being masked by your main symptoms. If anything feels unusually intense or doesn’t settle, message me and I’ll advise you on the next best step.
Yes. You’re welcome to play your own music if you prefer. If not, I’ll bring music with me. I use calm, curated playlists as standard for sessions. If you’d rather have no music at all, that’s completely fine too.
Yes. Some clients like to chat at the start, then go quiet once they settle. Others prefer to stay silent and tune into their body. Both are normal. Many people fall asleep, especially during gentler treatments like MLD and NPM, and that’s absolutely fine.
Please tell me in advance if you have any allergies or sensitivities. If you have a nut allergy, let me know so I avoid nut-based oils such as almond oil.
Yes. I always use professional draping that’s appropriate for the treatment style and the area being worked on. Only the area I’m treating is uncovered, and everything else stays covered throughout.
On very warm days, you can choose to have minimal covering, but you must keep your underwear on. For LomiLomi-style work, you will be covered with a secure wrap and/or draping that keeps the front and back fully protected at all times, including the gluteal cleft, while still allowing me to work effectively.
This is more common than people think, and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It can happen as an involuntary nervous system response to touch, warmth, and deep relaxation, and it does not mean anything inappropriate.
You are professionally draped at all times. If it happens, I simply continue the session without making it a thing. The best approach is to relax and not worry about it in advance.
No. This is professional therapeutic bodywork with clear boundaries, appropriate draping, and respectful conduct at all times. I do not offer any intimate or sexual services. If behaviour becomes inappropriate, the session ends immediately.
